Hello,
How nice that you want to read my story!

I was born on February 11, 2015 at 5:06 PM in the Jeroen Bosch Hospital in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. My dad always said that he didn’t want to be a dad after his 40th birthday, because he would feel too old. The funny thing is that dad turned 40 on the day I was born. And he was also born just after 5 PM. My mom did a good job with that, right!

I also have an older brother, Thijs. Dad and mom had a hard time having children. That’s why they had Thijs through IVF in 2009. In order to have a second child, they tried IVF again, but that didn’t work. Mom’s eggs weren’t good enough. A cousin of mom, Janneke, gave her eggs to mom and dad. And then mom did get pregnant. So I actually have 2 moms, but I don’t know Janneke that well. All my grandparents are still alive. On Tuesdays I always went to grandma Tonnie and grandpa Gerard. They lived 30 kilometers away from me, but grandma always came to pick me up, even when I was already at school. Then she would be waiting at the gate after school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Mom would drive to grandma and grandpa’s from work and we would stay there for dinner. Grandma Tonnie always gave me spaghetti to eat. That’s my favorite food, but nobody makes it as tasty as my grandma.

On Thursday I went to grandpa Cor and grandma Joke’s. I often cuddled and did crafts with grandpa Cor. I made a whole city of wooden blocks and screws. It’s still in grandpa and grandma’s house. These grandpa and grandma lived in the same village as me and close to my best friend Bram, only the playground was in between.

So on Thursday afternoon I often went to play in that playground with Bram and other children from my class.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n

I had a lot of allergies as a baby. For example, I was allergic to milk, chicken eggs and I had hay fever. Because of that, I was already under the supervision of a pediatrician as a baby. When I was 1.5 years old, the cow’s milk allergy was gone. The chicken egg allergy only stopped when I was almost 7 years old. After that, I was forced to eat an egg every week, but I didn’t like it at all. That’s why my mother always put a lot of curry-ketchup on it.

I have always been very cheerful. My parents say that I had such a beautiful, infectious laugh. They miss that laugh very much. When I liked something, I always jumped and skipped and waved my arms. In photos, I always put my thumb up. That’s why my parents made that thumb as a symbol for me now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

I really like building Lego, especially things I made up myself, like a house, an ice floe, a train. For my 8th birthday I was going to get the Lego train with lights. It’s still in the box in Mom and Dad’s living room.

I was also a big fan of Buzz Lightyear and his robot cat Sox. I have that in Lego too. Just like a lot of Super Mario stuff. My brother Thijs and I played Minecraft a lot, but I also did that on my own on the Nintendo Switch.

Everyone in our house is a big fan of Formula 1. We watch all the matches and Thijs also does a lot of sim racing. I always went cycling around our neighborhood with Thijs. We would have competitions to see who was the fastest, but because Thijs is 5 years older than me, he almost always won. Then I would just race around the garden on my balance bike. It didn’t matter if it was dry or raining, because in Formula 1 they also have a rain race sometimes. After the race I also held a podium ceremony and interview.

If the weather was really bad outside, I would go inside with 20 hotwheels cars to re-enact a formula 1 race. I knew exactly which car was supposed to represent which driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My hobbies are swimming, skating and scouting. I really like swimming, but especially at Snorri in Rulantica. That is a really cool water park near Europapark in southern Germany. I went there twice with my mom and dad. I went skating every Saturday evening. Then I got training in skating as fast as possible. On February 4, 2023, I skated my first real competition. Unfortunately, I came last because I fell.

On Monday, February 6, 2023, I came home sick from school. I had the flu. I got sick from the flu quite often and in 2022 it was so bad that I had to go to the hospital. They told me to eat, then I would get better quickly. That was the case then.

On Tuesday, I was not allowed to go to school and I watched the film Luca with my dad. I cried a lot when Luca said goodbye to his parents.

On Wednesday, I slept a lot at my mom’s office. Mom and I agreed that we would all stay together until we were all 100 years old. I promised Mom that I would live as long as possible.

The next day I was so sick that Mom called the doctor. We were supposed to come at 11:30. But at 11:00 I had a cardiac arrest. I was taken to the hospital, but the next day, on Friday, February 10, 2023, the doctors turned off the heart-lung machine around 10:00 in the morning and I died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 2022, we flew to Sweden. I asked my mom if, when you flew above the clouds, you could see God sitting on a cloud.

Now I have my own cloud, but unfortunately you can’t see me on it. Mom and Dad say that when it rains, I have to water the plants. And when the sun shines, I’m laughing.

I often drew rainbows, so when Mom and Dad see a rainbow, I let them know that I’m there too. And when it snows, I’m shaking up my pillow and going to sleep on my cloud.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
